Mastering

What that is? Mastering is the process of improving the recording. Every room, from Concert Hall to gym, influences the recording. To correct the bad things that can occur acoustically in the concert space, many toys are used. Corrections for spectral balance, channel balance, phase reinforcement, PA squeal, PA hum and PA noise, etc are made with equalizers, compressors, limiters, and other specialized equipment (correcting intonation costs more - as in, more than you have).

Our mastering suite, acoustically designed by world renowned CAL, is a near perfect listening space. Sweetening is accomplished in analog or digital domain, with a numerous outboard tools. We are able to work with virtually any format, analog or digital.

We accept master recordings in the following formats:

1/2-track, 1/4-track, dbx, Dolby SR, Dolby A, half inch two track, cassette

DAT

VHS-HiFi

Beta or VHS F-1, CD-R
